Romana

Romana was a female Time Lady and she appeared as two different regenerations, the first played by Mary Tamm and the second played by Lalla ward. Romana's full name is Romanadvoratrelundar and she was sent by the White Guardian to help the Doctor assemble the Time to Time. Initially, there is much friction between the two of them but they soon settle down into a great team, especially when she regenerates into a more playful version. Romana leaves the Doctor to help a race called the Tharils in e-space. Romana travelled with Tom Baker's Doctor.

DESTINY OF THE DALEKS

Originally broadcast at the end of the 1970s, Destiny of the Daleks is notable for introducing a regenerated Romana, but across its four episodes we also find the seemingly-dead Davros with a little more life in him than the Doctor expected. And there’s also the small matter of the Daleks being locked in the midst of a long-running war, with seemingly no way to break the stalemate. In short, plenty for the Doctor to get his teeth into.

CITY OF DEATH

THE CREATURE FROM THE PIT

Making a forced materialisation on Chloris, the Doctor, Romana and K9 become embroiled in the political machinations of its ruler, the Lady Adrasta. The lush vegetation of the planet's surface hides a ragtag group of bandits, a giant eggshell, man-eating Wolfweeds and, within the depths of an old mining pit, something very large has a terrible secret which threatens the destruction of Chloris itself...

NIGHTMARE OF EDEN

Two spacecraft fuse in a hyperspace collision, and with the dimensional instabilities threatening everyone aboard, it’s fortunate the Doctor (Tom Baker), Romana (Lalla Ward) and K-9 arrive to help. But when a crewmember is found clawed by a ferocious creature, it seems there’s something even more frightening stalking the corridors. But what can this have to do with a zoologist, Professor Tryst, his CET projection machine, and a planet called Eden?

THE HORNS OF NIMON

In the four-parter 'The Horns of Nimon', the Skonnon ships have returned to the skies of Aneth, demanding tribute. But as the final consignment is being taken to Skonnos, an accident forces the ship off course.

SHADA

A double helping from the 'Doctor Who' archives. Never aired on television due to a strike in 1979, the uncompleted six-part adventure 'Shada' traces the chase to recover a powerful book, 'The Artifacts of Gallifrey', stolen from retired timelord Professor Chronotis (Denis Carey). Skagra (Christopher Neame) is the evil despot responsible for this foul jiggery-pokery.

THE LEISURE HIVE

The Doctor and Romana visit the Leisure Hive on the planet Argolis, the surface of which is uninhabitable following a twenty minute nuclear war between the Argolins and their enemies, the Foamsi. The Argolins themselves are now sterile. Pangol, the youngest, was created by the Tachyon Recreation Generator, a machine that runs games in the Hive. He now secretly plans to use the Generator, modified by an Earth scientist named Hardin, to recreate himself many times over, forming an army of duplicates to destroy the Foamsi.

MEGLOS

On Tigella, two opposing factions are irrevocably divided over one fundamental issue: the Dodecahedron, a mysterious artefact which provides the entire planet’s energy. With the Savants and the Deons locked in a crippling stalemate, and their civilisation on the brink of collapse, the Tigellan leader Zastor seeks the Doctor’s help. But the Doctor and Romana have been trapped aboard the TARDIS in a timeloop by Meglos, the last of the Zolpha Thurans, who will stop at nothing to steal back the awesome power of the Dodecahedron...

Here the people live in fear of 'the Three who Rule'; cruel lords who live in a high tower overlooking their village. Suppressing all learning to keep their subjects ignorant and helpless, what chilling secret are these ruthless monarchs concealing? An ancient evil is rising once again and only the Doctor and Romana can destroy it.

WARRIORS' GATE (PART OF E-SPACE TRILOGY)

A strange creature forces its way into the TARDIS steering them to a white void occupied only by the ruins of an old building and a spaceship.
