JOHN HURT THE WAR DOCTOR
John Hurt played a surprise role as the War Doctor, a regeneration that the Doctor had tried to forget. John Hurt's special episode focused on the Time War and the War Doctor's role within it, "The Day of the Doctor" featured both David Tennant and Matt Smith. This special episode is a game changer with a whole new story arc where he faces the toughest decision he has ever had to make; whether or not to commit genocide.
